Violin Memory Appoints Gary Lloyd as General Counsel

(NYSE:VMEM), a leader in persistent memory-based storage solutions, today announced Gary Lloyd as the Company's General Counsel. Lloyd will assume responsibility for global legal affairs and compliance operations. He will report directly to interim CEO Howard A. Bain III. Lloyd brings more than twenty-five years of experience and an extensive background in commercial agreements, corporate governance, complex litigation and risk management to his new role. He has previously served as General Counsel for several public technology companies including Informix Corporation, and has represented public companies and their officers, directors and employees while in private practice with Farella, Braun + Martel LLP. Additionally, Lloyd gained valuable compliance experience as Assistant Director for the Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement, in Washington, D.C.
