Tablet the perfect >> pill for Audi ; DRIVELINES [Evening Gazette (UK)](Evening Gazette (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) AUDI has developed a new portable tablet aimed at opening up new possibilities for networking between the car, its driver and the internet. Shown in prototype form at this month's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Audi Smart Display combines technology from the consumer electronics world with a component designed specifically for automotive use. With a 10.2-inch HD display encased in brushed aluminium, the portable tablet can access the car's infotainment system and add the computing and graphics power of its own processor. So passengers can use the touchscreen to control the radio, media and sat-nav, connect to the internet and have access to more than 950,000 apps.
