U.S. Department of Energy Secretary, Dr. Ernest Moniz to Keynote at Fifth Annual IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) Conference in Washington, D.C.

IEEE (News - Alert), the world's largest professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, today announced that Dr. Ernest Moniz, Secretary of Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will deliver the keynote address at the fifth annual IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) Conference on Wednesday 19 February, 8:30 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel, Washington, D.C.

In addition, the IEEE PES 2014 ISGT Conference will highlight results from several Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) projects funded by the DOE and the electric power industry on 19 February. These sessions include reports on the Integration of Distributed Energy Resources, Systems Integration and Voltage/VAR Optimization.
