Nelson spent 33 years with ExxonMobil Corporation. Upon the 1999 merger of Exxon and Mobil, Nelson was named chairman and chief executive officer of ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh, a position he held until 2004. "It is our privilege to welcome Dan to AtHoc's Strategic Advisory Board," said Guy Miasnik, president and CEO of AtHoc. "His insights on international business and the industrial market will be a tremendous asset for advising AtHoc on how to help global organizations ensure the safety of their employees, community and environment." "I can speak from personal experience that those working in the heavy industry sector confront any number of potential hazards on a daily basis," said Nelson. "AtHoc offers expertise and technology that are critical for large organizations to protect the lives of their employees, the integrity of their facilities and the communities where they work and live on a global basis. I want to support that process and hope my involvement will help AtHoc continue to expand and grow into new markets around the world." Nelson currently is a managing partner of International Strategic Insights, a Washington, D.C.-based advisory firm that he and several partners founded in 2009. Nelson is also a director of the Energy Policy Research Foundation and serves as vice chairman of Mentor Foundation USA.
