Hero Network and DC&R Join Forces to Raise Money for Coaches vs. Cancer [Travel & Leisure Close - Up]

(Travel & Leisure Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Hero Network, Inc. has partnered with DC&R, a specialist Marketing Services firm for rewards and data capture, to help raise money for Coaches vs. Cancer through DC&R's Sixth Man Challenge program.

According to a release, the Sixth Man Challenge Program is a rewards-based incentivized giving fundraising campaign, delivered on the DC&R's platform that encourages students, fans & alumni to make a donation ($5) to Coaches vs. Cancer either at a designated game or website, and in turn receive valuable rewards & sweepstake opportunities.

Through March 31, over 500,000 students, fans, and alumni from 6 Universities from the Philadelphia region will compete to raise the most money in the fight against cancer and win the Sixth Man Challenge.

The Hero Network's proprietary technology will process all online donations and deliver the rewards to the donors. Hero's technology will allow competing schools to track & compare their school's philanthropic spirit on the Sixth Man Challenge website (sixthmanchallenge.com).

"College students, fans, and alumni are passionate about their school, basketball and helping. The Sixth Man Challenge combines those passions to make an impact in the fight against cancer. The Sixth Man Challenge will be one of the largest yearly fundraising programs in America," said Coaches vs. Cancer Director Dave Heck.

"Hero Network is excited to be selected as the official crowd- funding partner for the Sixth Man Challenge and to join with all the participating schools, their fans and alumni in the fight against cancer," said Hero Network CEO Michael Po.
