Japan : Wi-SUN ALLIANCE and HOMEPLUG ALLIANCE forms liaison agreement [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Wi-SUN Alliance and the HomePlug Alliance has announced a liaison agreement to support collaboration to enable hybrid smart grid networks supporting both wireless (RF) and powerline-wired connectivity (PLC). This association is set to empower various industry-leading member firms of both alliances for sharing requirements and specifications for Media Access Control (MAC) and transport layer profiles to facilitate interoperability of Internet Protocol (IP)-based smart grid applications. Utilities and end-customers stand to gain from it.
