Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Associates J. Ryan Fowler and Carson R. Runge Named to 2014 Texas Rising Stars List

Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Law Firm (Sloan Firm) associates J. Ryan Fowler and Carson R. Runge have been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine and Texas Monthly Magazine's list of 2014 Texas Rising Stars.

The Rising Stars List recognizes the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state, who are 40 years old or younger or who have been in practice for 10 years or less. The Super Lawyers survey from which Rising Stars are selected uses nominations based on personal observation in addition to attorney-led research. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Texas Rising Stars list.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer revies by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Fowler joined The Sloan Firm in 2007 where he practices in the area of catastrophic personal injury law. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in personal injury trial law. Currently, Fowler is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), American Association for Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, College of the State Bar of Texas and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He also graduated from The Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in 2010.

Fowler, a native Texan and a resident of The Woodlands, Texas, was also recognized among the Rising Stars in 2012 and 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in 2004, with honors, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, cum laude, from Baylor University's School of Law in 2007.

Runge joined The Sloan Firm in 2010, where he practices in the area of catastrophic personal injury law. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, East Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. He currently serves as president of the Gregg County Bar Association.

Runge is from Grand Prairie, Texas and currently resides in Longview, Texas. Runge earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University in 2007 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, cum laude, from Baylor University's School of Law in 2010. He graduated from The Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in 2011.
