PCTEL Launches Dual 4G LTE MIMO & GPS Multiband Antenna at IWCE
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--
PCTEL (News - Alert), Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in simplifying wireless and site
solutions for private and public networks, announced today at the
International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) the launch of its
newest multiband antenna for fleet management, asset tracking, and
public safety applications. The new dual 4G LTE (News - Alert) antenna incorporates
MIMO technology to support high data rates for wireless communications.
It also includes high rejection GPS and dual-band MIMO WiFi (News - Alert) (802.11n) in
a single compact housing.
Commercial and public safety fleets increasingly rely on applications
that are powered by high-speed mobile networks. LTE MIMO technology
supports high mobile data rates. It uses multiple,
spatially-differentiated antennas to maximize throughput. However, the
need for spatial differentiation makes it difficult to achieve the
desired performance in a low-profile antenna.
PCTEL's new antenna (GPSHPDLTEMIMO-SF) addresses the LTE MIMO challenge
through advanced RF engineering design and adds WiFi and GPS L1 support.
A high rejection GPS LNA assembly enables reliable location tracking
services while mitigating interference from nearby RF radiating sources.
The antenna's low profile, single-housing design simplifies installation
and streamlines the product footprint to address space and aesthetic
"Rising demand for high-speed mobile data has increased the complexity
of vehicular antenna systems," said Jeff Miller, President of PCTEL
Connected Solutions. "With this new dual LTE model, we can provide our
customers with a single easy-to-install solution for verything from
commuter rail WiFi to real time data and video streaming for emergency
response communications and other commercial fleet applications," added
PCTEL will be displaying its new multiband fleet management antenna
along with other antenna products and site solutions at Booth #5071 at
IWCE in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 26-27.
