As part of this move, Allgeier will in future bundle its healthcare business within its Gemed subsidiary. This entity is being renamed, and will be continued as Allgeier Medical IT GmbH. eHealthOpen was founded in 2006, and focuses on advising companies and hospitals, supporting them in the planning of special solutions in medicine and care, medical technology, medical IT, biometrics, as well as archiving concepts and signature processes in the patient information area. In addition, eHealthOpen is the host and organiser of the Schliersee Conference, which is regarded as a forward-looking event within the healthcare IT sector. The managing director of eHealthOpen, Heino Kuhlemann, will be active as the new managing director of Allgeier Medical IT together with Wolfgang Schmezer. Heino Kuhlemann draws on extensive experience and a strong, high level network as a result of having held managing director positions within the e-health environment. Allgeier Medical IT specialises in modern IT solutions for clinics, hospitals and other healthcare market participants in Europe.
