Glue Networks Deploys Software-Defined Wide Area Network at MWH Global

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Glue Networks has been selected by MWH Global, the "wet" infrastructure sector leader, to deliver an agile, higher bandwidth, higher performance Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) with hundreds of routers connecting 160 branch offices across six continents. The Gluware® intelligent orchestration engine can provision and deploy nodes in minutes vs. weeks or months with manual solutions, and simplifies the deployment and management of WAN infrastructure.

"The MWH business is project driven and speed, agility and a dynamic global WAN are critical to scale our business," said Greg Tornrose, VP and Global Director IT Infrastructure & Operations at MWH Global. "Gluware provides MWH affordable capacity and the ability to spin up and turn down sites quickly and securely while removing the complexity in rapid global deployments for remote projects."

"Glue Networks provides a simple, fast, highly agile automated approach to adding advanced features to the WAN in a zero touch deployment," said Jeff Gray, co-founder and CEO of Glue Networks. "Gluware automates the provisioning and life cycle management of Cisco's (News - Alert) Intelligent WAN (IWAN) architecture, allowing innovative companies like MWH a simplified way to access a robust suite of advanced Cisco IOS features while reducing manual deployment and support costs."

MWH is migrating from a lower performance, inflexible MPLS network that required 3-6 months to get an MPLS connection to a new site, to a highly resilient broadband network that can provision remote sites worldwide in minutes. The new network will connect regional hubs in the U.S., U.K., Australia and India to the MWH core network optimizing global transit paths.

MWH is transforming its global network with SDN. MWH is at the forefront of 3D, 4D and 5D design modeling and virtual design construction and presents its clients the broadest range of visual options requiring an agile, innovative network. MWH is simplifying collaboration, offering universal access in a secure manner, and making knowledge more accessible to the company. MWH has specific requirements to reduce IT spend while simultaneously increasing agility, bandwidth and providing enhanced service quality.

MWH Global is a leader in environmental engineering, strategic planning, construction, and management for water-related projects, including the expansion of the Panama Canal, building water treatment or desalination plants, water transmission systems, and storage facilities. MWH provides general building services for transportation, energy, mining, ports and waterways, and industrial projects, and serves governments, public utilities, and private sector clients. The company was founded in 1820, is headquartered in Broomfield, CO and has over 8,000 employees in 180 global offices in 35 countries.

The Gluware® intelligent orchestration engine is available through Glue Networks and also on the Cisco global price list where it is sold through 14,000 Cisco direct sales managers, and Cisco channels. Glue Networks supports WAN/teleworker architectures including the Cisco ISR and ASR 1000 product lines.
