Northern Virginia-Based PSS Acquires Global Services & Solutions, Inc.TYSONS CORNER, Va. --(Business Wire)-- Preferred Systems Solutions (PSS), a Tysons Corner-based provider of Information Technology, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Program Management, and Financial Consulting services, today announced its acquisition of Global Services & Solutions, Inc. Global Services & Solutions (GSS) provides acquisition and program support, engineering and technical expertise, and consulting services for major weapons systems acquisition programs. Th acquisition of GSS strengthens PSS's position as a contractor of choice within the Department of Defense. Jim Ballard, the President of GSS, will transition to President, PSS Federal Services Group. Mr. Ballard brings more than 40 years of executive-level management and leadership experience within the government services market. He has led public and private businesses of varying sizes and classifications. Notably, Mr. Ballard served in the roles of Chief Operating Officer and President at Perot Systems Government Services, where he was responsible for the growth strategy, daily operations, and business development. Under his direction, Perot Systems Government Services' professional services business grew from $57 Million to $650 Million in annual revenues.
