Vantage Media Rebrands and Changes Name to Katch


Vantage Media - the advertising technology company that created the leading self-serve, real-time bidding (RTB) platform - today announced it has rebranded and changed its name to Katch to focus on its software platform.

The changes more directly reflect the company's shifted focus to engaging in-market shoppers using real-time bidding technology via private exchanges. This platform is what has fueled the company's growth, placing it as the second-fastest growing advertising technology company with more than $100 million in revenue in the U.S., according to Inc. magazine's Inc. 5000. In December, the company sold its legacy education lead generation agency business to focus solely on real-time bidding marketplaces.

"Katch is a better representation of our core product, which is a software platform that drives consumer engagement," Patrick Quigley, CEO of Katch. "Stating in 2010, we invested in technology to become a product company. Now that we're fully there, it makes sense to change the name to better reflect the business we've become - the leading RTB platform to engage every buyer. This marks the completion of the transformation we started 5 years ago."



Concurrent with the rebrand to Katch, the vertical marketplaces - primarily in the health insurance, auto insurance, higher education, and lending verticals - have been renamed as HealthPlans.com, AutoInsurance.net, University.com, and CreditandLoan.com, respectively. They will use the Katch platform as internal licensees.

The Katch platform is already being used to run marketplaces externally for other brands. The success of these marketplaces for external brands led to applying the same concept to Katch's internal brands.
