Prior to joining Day1 Solutions, Mr. Collins served as the US East Region Professional Services Leader for Amazon Web Services (AWS), developing the company's consulting practice and supporting many of the company's largest enterprise customers in transitioning to the cloud. Mr. Collins brings particular expertise in IT Strategy, application development, security, governance, risk and operational compliance strategies. Prior to AWS, Mr. Collins spent 15 years at Microsoft, earning numerous promotions to progressively responsible leadership positions. In his most recent role as General Manager in Microsoft Information Technology, Mr. Collins served as the global leader of solution management for sales and marketing organizations worldwide, where he is credited with improving delivery execution, strategic planning, and significantly increasing business value across the portfolio. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Collins served as Director of Technology Services for GE Capital, where he was responsible for distributed computing, networking, and enterprise architecture; and as Director of Technology Services for American Express, where he managed the company's distributed and mainframe computing environments.
