PSS Chooses Veeva's SaaS Pharma CRM Application

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In a bid to offer their diverse customers a CRM application to fit their specific needs, Publicis Selling Solutions (PSS) said it turned to Veeva Systems for their VBioPharma, SaaS CRM application.

PSS provides the life sciences industry with sales, service and clinical teams and required a highly customizable solution that would allow them to adjust applications to fit the needs of individual customers.

“We can change the look, feel, and functionality of VBioPharma without months of back-end work and millions of dollars. Our own people can deploy each new instance of the product, configure it, and roll it out without a single call to the company,” said Rick Keefer, president of Publicis Selling Solutions – a selling solutions organization with a diverse customer base.

“Finding the right technology for our clients was tricky because they come in every size and shape, but VBioPharma fit our business model perfectly,” said Keefer.

Based on the success of five of their customers who have been making use of VBioPharma, Publicis has said it now plans to utilize the offering to support all of its future customers.

In addition, the company said it is making use of Veeva’s VMobile Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) applications which make it possible to receive automatic updates in the field at no extra cost, in addition to providing the needed flexibility across laptops, tablets and PDAs.

Last month, Veeva also announced that Avidas Pharmaceuticals, a privately-held specialty pharmaceutical company committed to dermatology and women's health, selected their VBioPharma Specialty Care Edition SaaS (News - Alert) CRM application to improve their technological capabilities.

A recent study from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) on the future of Pharmaceutical companies also notes that companies will invest more in CRM segments and focus on the importance of management. According to their report, the markets are expected to grow an estimated CAGR of 4.9 percent from 2007 to 2014.

"There is an increasing demand for marketing automation and customer analytic tools," noted Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Santhosh Kumar Ramaraj. "Intensifying and escalating data are evoking interest in companies for the purpose of optimally analyzing it to support improved decision making."
