NTT (News - Alert) Communications Corporation (NTT Com), NTT Group’s information and communications technology (ICT) solutions business, is making its global portfolio of cloud infrastructure solutions available to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) customers. This was made possible thanks to an agreement between HPE and NTT Com’s US subsidiary, NTT America (News - Alert).

Put simply, this partnership allows customers in the US to buy NTT Com’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) portfolio solutions, including enterprise private, public or hybrid cloud infrastructure variations. In addition, these users now have access to NTT America’s professional services, including cloud migration, data center consolidation, managed infrastructure and disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS).

“This new partnership deepens our long-standing relationship with HPE, and allows us to combine our strengths to unlock hidden value, unleash innovation, ignite sales growth and capture opportunities in key customer segments and markets,” said Jeffrey Bannister, executive vice president of Global Enterprise Services for NTT America. “As one of HPE’s few global IaaS partners, we will deliver outcomes-driven cloud solutions based on integration of best of breed technologies within our infrastructure to help our joint customers stay one step ahead of their competition.”

In other recent NTT Group news, the company’s Japanese telecommunications business NTT DoCoMo (News - Alert) has begun readying 5G radio prototype field trials alongside communications technology company Ericsson (News - Alert). With 5G commercial networks expected as early as 2020, NTT DoCoMo is positioned to be among the earliest adopters.

Meanwhile, NTT Com’s customer-oriented cloud solutions can now drive US medium to large enterprise customers toward positive business outcomes in industries such as healthcare, finance, media, retail and manufacturing. Powered by HPE technology and delivered over managed end-to-end IT infrastructure owned and operated by NTT Com, the technologically advanced cloud portfolio is designed to meet customer goals to achieve a strong ROI by moving to an asset-light IT model.
