Rackspace (News - Alert) Technology, a provider of hybrid, multi-cloud, and AI technology services, announced the launch of Rackspace Lab Services (RLS), a cloud Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solution designed to improve training, testing, and demonstration environments for organizations.
Hosted on Rackspace’s Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) Flex, it supports the Broadcom (News - Alert) VMware Lab Platform (VLP), which provides a consumption-based service model so organizations can demonstrate and train on any application that can be installed on an operating system - all while providing system-level access to the environment.
"The launch of RLS symbolizes a pivotal moment in empowering organizations while facilitating global workforce training and development with real-world scenarios to close deals faster," said Bryan Litchford, Vice President of Private Cloud, Rackspace Technology.
As a complete turnkey solution, it requires no installation and minimal setup, making it an accessible and cost-effective tool for businesses that want to optimize their training and testing processes.
"By eliminating the complexities of setting up and maintaining dedicated lab environments, RLS accelerates project timelines by facilitating quicker innovation and faster time-to-market for new products and solutions," said Litchford. "This streamlined approach provides a competitive advantage for companies using RLS, and in a world where remote work and distributed teams are the norm, RLS offers a robust solution for global distance learning and experiential training. Teams can develop and hone their skills in a real-world context, irrespective of their location, ensuring continuous learning and innovation."
One of the key features is support for flexible distance learning, so users can access high-impact training from anywhere in the world, at any time.
RLS also integrates seamlessly with various learning management systems (LMS) through API-based Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI), making it an ideal choice for extending training into practical, real-world environments.
In addition, the platform provides fully maintained virtual lab services, eliminating the need for businesses to build and manage their own lab environments.
