Modernization is a priority for many communications service providers (CSP (News - Alert)) in the re-emerging economy, especially with cloud support becoming a necessity for numerous work functions. However, this transition can be a daunting task for CSPs, and many are looking for a way to make cloud deployments as simple as possible.

Dell (News - Alert) Technologies announced the launch of Dell Telecom Multi-Cloud Foundation: a solution package specifically tailored for CSPs to help build and deploy affordable, cloud-native networks with minimal complexity. This turnkey solution includes a number of valuable hardware and software components, including Dell Bare Metal Orchestrator management software, enabling CSPs to rapidly scale the network for core, edge, and RAN services.

"Communications service providers are changing how they build and deploy open networks, establishing the foundation on which they can develop and deliver innovative services to capture the edge opportunity," said Dennis Hoffman (News - Alert), senior vice president and general manager, Dell Technologies Telecom Systems Business. "Our expanded telecom solutions portfolio brings the open ecosystem together for network operators, giving them the simplicity and reliability they need to modernize their networks and monetize new services."

CSPs using the Telecom Multi-Cloud Foundation can also take advantage of the Dell Open RAN Accelerator Card (co-developed with Marvell (News - Alert)) to support the development of 5G RAN infrastructure. Additionally, service providers can utilize the Dell Validated Design for Services Edge 1.2 to bring private connectivity to the edge, and the Dell Validated Design for the 5G Core with Oracle (News - Alert) and VMware to build a 5G core on standard infrastructure more quickly and reliably.
