The rapid growth of cloud computing, big data and IoT pushes businesses and individuals to generate and consume vast amounts of data that need to be processed and stored in real-time. The result of this? A growing need for high-speed, low-latency and reliable interconnect solutions to connect data centers, cloud service providers and other digital ecosystems.

Businesses seek more flexibility in their interconnection options to better manage their data and applications in a hybrid cloud environment, combining public and private cloud services. The trend toward more distributed and decentralized IT architectures also underscores the need for flexible interconnection options that support dynamic and scalable workloads.

Flexential’s cloud interconnection service, Cloud Fabric, allows businesses to create a hybrid cloud environment that combines the benefits of public cloud services with the security and control of on-premises infrastructure. This helps organizations to optimize their IT infrastructure, improve performance and reduce costs.

Flexential Cloud Fabric is built on a carrier-grade network and offers reliability, security and scalability. It supports multiple cloud provider ( including AWS, Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure, Google Cloud and others), and it provides access to hundreds of data centers across the globe.

To expand its Cloud Fabric ecosystem, Flexential announced it offers low-latency interconnection options to Oracle (News - Alert) Cloud through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect. FastConnect offers a means for customers to directly link to their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) virtual cloud network using dedicated, private, high-capacity connections.

Through the collaboration, customers in any Flexential data center across its national FlexAnywhere platform can connect to OCI. Likewise, Oracle customers enjoy dependable network connectivity to their cloud-based applications and data from any Flexential location through Oracle FastConnect on-ramps situated in Ashburn, Virginia, as well as in San Jose, California and Chicago, Illinois. This leads to better performance, greater control, flexibility and scalability by providing simpler access to vital business data and operations.

"With the increasing customer demand for high-performing, reliable and flexible interconnection options, we know how critical it is for customers to have direct access to OCI through FastConnect," said Chris Downie, CEO, Flexential. "We now enable our customers to rapidly scale their IT infrastructure across our national FlexAnywhere platform of 39 data centers."
