Legacy network performance monitoring, or NPM, and observability tools are outdated solutions that fail to offer the comprehensive visibility needed by enterprises to understand the impact of network traffic flows and performance on customer experiences. These traditional tools are limited in capturing and analyzing the extensive data required in modern enterprise environments.

Enterprises require a holistic view of their infrastructure to evaluate how network traffic patterns and overall system performance affect the end-user experience. They need to monitor metrics such as latency, response times, error rates and throughput to gain insights into how these factors impact customer satisfaction and engagement.

To meet the needs of modern enterprises, advanced monitoring and observability solutions are required. Introducing network observability company Kentik, and the general availability of Kentik (News - Alert) Map for Azure and extensive support for Microsoft Azure infrastructure in Kentik Cloud.

With this release, Kentik provides comprehensive network observability across all multi-cloud deployments, and gives network, cloud and infrastructure engineers the context to rapidly answer any question about their networks.

Kentik Map for Azure provides an interactive and data-rich visualization of Azure infrastructure. It offers a comprehensive view of how Azure resources are nested within each other and connected to on-premises environments.

Kentik collects, analyzes and contextualizes traffic flow and performance data from Microsoft Azure, on-premises systems, Google (News - Alert) Cloud and AWS services. This integration enriches network telemetry with deep application, business and security context, enabling actionable observability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

With Kentik Map for Azure, organizations gain access to live visualizations of Azure infrastructure topology. They can view current and historical paths, along with detailed metadata. This allows for a quick understanding of the path and performance details of traffic routes connecting Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure workloads to data centers via Azure Express Routes.

Kentik Map for Azure also facilitates the visualization and exploration of all branch, VPN, private cloud and intra-cloud connectivity associated with Azure Virtual WAN. Users can delve into the impact of Network Security Group configurations on security and productivity, using live traffic data for analysis.

The tool provides flexibility in adding custom context to Microsoft Azure data through the use of custom tags. Additionally, pre-built Azure-native attributes sourced from Azure APIs are available for inclusion. This allows for a more tailored and comprehensive understanding of Azure resources and their associated data.

"By unifying all network telemetry, across all clouds and data centers, Kentik's latest advancements enable enterprises to make data-driven decisions, optimize resource utilization and achieve peak performance and security for their hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure," said Christoph Pfister, Chief Product Officer, Kentik.

Kentik Map for Azure is that robust solution for visualizing, analyzing and gaining actionable observability, facilitating enhanced understanding and optimization of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
