Removing Complex IT Barriers: ITEXPO Exhibitor Parallels Introduces New Parallels DaaS Solution

Let’s talk about Parallels.

Parallels, part of the Alludo portfolio, is an exhibitor of the fast-approaching ITEXPO 2024 (part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW that’s taking place from February 13-15 at the Broward County Convention center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Parallels is known to many as a global leader in cross-platform solutions, as they equip teams with what they need to access and make use of their applications and files on any device or operating system. (e.g. Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android (News - Alert), etc.) Parallels works tightly with individuals and businesses alike (as well as public sector organizations, educational institutions and others) to create optimal environments for efficiently working, learning, and growing together.

The long-story-short of it? Parallels believes that, wherever you find yourself, being able to simply (and cost-effectively) use your applications should be a given in today’s world.

So, they make it happen.

Notably, Parallels has also made available various resource libraries, technical documentation, partner training certifications, webinars and more for those looking for even more on the company’s accessible solutions that keep things simple.

And today, Parallels made another announcement:

The company has officially launched Parallels DaaS, its next-gen (and cloud-native) Desktop-as-a-Service cloud computing solution that, according to Parallels themselves, “offers users secure, instant access to their virtual applications and desktop environments.”

This comes at a great time, too; according to a recent survey, the growing popularity of DaaS isn’t likely to slow down any time soon. In fact, nearly half (48%) of the IT professionals surveyed – working for small and mid-sized businesses, or SMBs – say that they’re planning on implementing DaaS, and another sizable group (39%) claim they’ve already taken active steps towards doing so for projects spanning the next two years.

With Parallels DaaS, the complexities of deploying, configuring and maintaining an IT environment for its administrators become altogether less cumbersome. It can even be set up in four straightforward steps:

  1. Register an account and access Parallels DaaS.
  2. Connect your Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure subscription to host resources.
  3. Install your unique line of business app(s) and settings.
  4. Simply invite users to access their apps, desktops and data.

According to Prashant Ketkar, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Parallels:

“We’ve been at the forefront of simplifying IT for end users through innovative virtualization solutions. Today marks a milestone as we launch Parallels DaaS so customers and partners can continue relying on Parallels as a strong alternative in the market that meets their remote desktop and application delivery needs. We are committed to providing our partners and customers across all geographies with the choice and flexibility they need to deploy on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid with solutions like Parallels DaaS.”

As a fit-for-task, feature-solution for adopting cloud-first solutions, moving desktop environments to cloud and – to put it another way – simplifying an IT environment without rigorous IT specialists, Parallels DaaS represents an easy-to-use, scalable and affordable way to liberate businesses from the burdens of laboriously managing and maintaining their virtual desktop applications.

Parallels is a proud exhibitor of ITEXPO 2024. As mentioned, this will be held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from February 13-15. Part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW experience, this event combines educational conference programming with a robust exhibit hall, networking events, and plenty of other in-depth activities for attendees, exhibitors and sponsors.
