A report by Gartner states that data and analytics teams often struggle to design, deploy and manage a complex web of technologies while ensuring an adaptable underlying technical architecture.

This challenge is particularly acute in today's environment. The surge in real-time, data-heavy applications – including those powered by GenAI – is driving the need for organizations to have immediate and dependable access to data across their entire operation. These applications are used to improve customer experiences, streamline operations and make data-driven decisions.

In simpler terms, businesses are increasingly using real-time data to inform everything from how they interact with customers to how they run their factories. However, the sheer volume and speed of this data makes it difficult for data and analytics teams to manage the various technologies needed to collect, store and analyze it all. Further complicating this issue is the need to ensure the underlying systems that support this data flow are reliable and can grow as the organization's needs expand.

To help enterprises accelerate AI-driven data processing, GridGain announced version 9 of the GridGain Unified Real-Time Data Platform.

Building on the proven multi-dimensional data processing and analytics capabilities of version 8, GridGain 9 delivers a more stable, resilient and high-performant solution for ultra-low latency data applications, “powering the extreme speed, scale, durability and reliability critical to modern enterprise use cases and AI,” according to the official press release.

GridGain 9 delivers improvements in scalability, performance, data management and developer experience. Users can now dynamically scale their in-memory and on-disk storage and processing capacity on demand, without impacting overall system performance. This enhanced scalability extends to cloud deployments, which allows users to seamlessly integrate GridGain clusters with their cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, GridGain 9 boasts improved performance through optimized parallel data processing and memory-centric storage engines. These engines are tailored to handle various workloads, including those focused on analytics and artificial intelligence.

For developers and DevOps engineers, GridGain 9 offers a more streamlined experience. The platform features intuitive and simplified APIs, making it easier to interact with the system. Improved cluster configuration tools and enhanced DevOps capabilities further streamline the development and management of data-intensive applications built on GridGain.

“We have consistently evolved the GridGain platform to stay ahead of our customers' data requirements, and we have again invested in reinforcing our solution to make it even more resilient and high-performant,” said GridGain CEO Eoin O' Connor. “The result is GridGain 9, a more powerful platform that will make it faster and easier to deliver new features, enhancements and scalability to support modern application and AI use cases.”

GridGain Platform v9.0 is available now.
