'Hot' Off the Press: Wasabi Technologies and Bechtle Partner to Make Hot Cloud Storage More Accessible

By Alex Passett, Editor  |  September 23, 2024

Howdy, all you lovely Cloud Computing readers.

Let’s break down some breaking news concerning Wasabi Technologies and Bechtle.

Wasabi is on a mission to, quote, “store all the world’s data by making data storage simple, affordable, predictable, and secure.” Businesses with data to store — let’s face it, that’s virtually every major business today, whether it’s backup client information, surveillance videos, medical imagery, multimedia files, you name it — Wasabi pledges to be the go-to source for trusted data storage.

“Why lock your data away in cold storage?” per a question Wasabi has posed. “Or worse, why delete it entirely just to avoid costly hardware upgrades or unpredictable cloud storage fees?”

With Wasabi’s universal, enterprise-grade Hot Cloud Storage, businesses can confidently (and affordably) store all their data and access it whenever, wherever, and without complexities and/or annoying fees.

And so, earlier this morning, Wasabi announced its partnership with Bechtle, a renowned European IT service provider (and notably, the largest in Germany). Trusted by thousands of customers across Europe, Bechtle delivers reliable and custom-tailored IT solutions specially architected for SMEs, the public sector, larger businesses, you name it.

What’s the goal of this partnership, then?

Wasabi’s aforementioned Hot Cloud Storage solution will be distributed in Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH), known overall as DACH. They’re partnering because each wants to make it much, much easier for customers (particularly in this DACH region) to access a truly high-performance, cost-efficient, and future-proof cloud storage offering. This partnership also gives Wasabi the opportunity to utilize Bechtle’s own network and resources to further expand its presence in the DACH region.

A win-win, as they say.

“Our partnership with Bechtle is an important step for us to further expand our presence in the DACH region and offer customers prime access to our leading hot cloud storage solution,” stated Daniel Arabié, DACH Country Manager at Wasabi Technologies (News - Alert). “This means that Bechtle customers now also have access to our affordable, secure and GDPR-compliant hot cloud storage solution.”

“We are very pleased about the partnership with Wasabi Technologies,” added Felix Heller, Head of Business Applications in Partner Management at Bechtle. “We always endeavor to offer our customer continually powerful solutions for successful business operations. This will accomplish precisely that.”
