Lightbits Announces Banner Year As Demand Increases for Cloud Solutions

Ever since the COVID-19 shutdowns began, cloud technologies have been in the spotlight. Not only because they enable working and communicating from anywhere - but because with the right solution, it’s possible to have better, more secure, and cost efficient operations.

As demand continues to increase, cloud providers are reaping huge benefits. San Jose-based Lightbits Labs, a provider of digital data center transformation solutions, said it has its best year even in 2021. In addition to doubling its install base, the company also increased its average deal size and saw more revenue - spotlighting an ability to deliver the offerings businesses need.

Despite this also being an uncertain time for businesses, the organization saw its average deal size rise by 60 percent. It also signed more partners to its GoPurple channel partner program.

Lightbits offers a software-defined, NVMe Complete Data Platform for any cloud. It has Intelligent Flash Management built-in. In addition to dramatically improving efficiency, the company also offers high performance with low latency for bare metal, containerized, or virtual environments.

As IT organizations and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) seek storage solutions that enable data center agility, its offerings will continue to generate interest.

Last year, the company completed certification with VMware and announced the first software-defined NVMe/TCP storage solution for VMware.

Commenting on the banner year, CEO Eran Kirzner said, “More companies are adopting NVMe/TCP, and we invented it, it’s native to our storage software and our announcement last year with VMware is evidence that we are on a trajectory towards delivering an end-to-end NVMe solution. We grew our topline and our company last year added offices, added 27 percent more employees, and filled key leadership team positions.”

“We have been fortunate to be in a position where cloud solutions have been in greater demand during the past few years allowing us to experience strong customer growth and increase in sales opportunities for the coming year.”

“In 2022, watch for more product innovations with our strategic alliances which will add more customer value to our existing installation base and broaden our appeal.”
