SolarWinds Brings Observability to IT Environments

As companies shift to remote and hybrid workforces, IT environments become more complex. This results in reduced visibility into networks, applications and infrastructures for IT professionals.

To counter the lack of visibility and provide unified and comprehensive visibility into today’s modern, distributed, hybrid and multi-cloud IT environments, SolarWinds launched SolarWinds Observability, a fully integrated, cloud-native SaaS (News - Alert) offering.

The new SaaS platform blends SolarWinds observability solutions across network, infrastructure, systems, application, database, digital experience and log monitoring in one end-to-end solution across private and public clouds with single-pane-of-glass visibility.

SolarWinds (News - Alert) Observability, available as a cloud-native offering on Azure and AWS clouds, connects data points from across dynamic and distributed cloud environments and leverages built-in intelligence to deliver actionable insights into performance issues. With this, technology professionals will explore service relationships and dependency maps through multi-level visualization to correlate system behaviors to application performance and business outcomes.

The platform also provides AIOps, machine learning-powered entity groups and customized metrics to surface and prioritize performance-related problems and help eliminate alert storms. Built-in intelligence identifies the unknowns and enables cloud systems to become more resilient and proactive.

Built for IT Ops and DevOps teams, developers, cloud architects and IT executives, SolarWinds Observability helps ensure optimal performance and an enhanced user experience, regardless of how distributed a business' services are, where they run or how often they change.

“For more than 20 years, we have focused on providing customers with solutions to digitally transform their companies,” said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, SolarWinds president and CEO. “We designed SolarWinds Observability to support every customer regardless of where they are on their cloud journey and to deliver simplicity, security and great value to DevOps, SecOps, CloudOps and IT Ops professionals.”

SolarWinds also launched an updated version of its Hybrid Cloud Observability solution. The solution helps professionals optimize performance, ensure availability and reduce remediation time across on-premises and multi-cloud environments by increasing visibility, intelligence and productivity through a comprehensive, integrated, cost-effective, full-stack solution.

Updated, it will now feature enhanced anomaly detection capabilities powered by AI and machine learning and enable SolarWinds customers to migrate from on-premises to SaaS at their own pace.

“With our Hybrid Cloud Observability and SolarWinds Observability offerings, customers have ultimate flexibility to deploy on a private cloud, public cloud, or as a service,” said Rohini Kasturi, chief product officer at SolarWinds.

Ramakrishna and the company had a vision to introduce SaaS and hybrid cloud observability solutions in 2022. With the launches of SolarWinds Observability and Hybrid Cloud Observability, that vision is fulfilled.
