Kentik Pioneers Future of Network Observability with Kentik AI Solutions

Mastery of the intricacies of networking protocols, hardware configurations and system interactions has been cultivated over years of practical exposure. And, as networks evolved, so did the depth of knowledge that was required. That’s why we've often heard something along the lines of “resolving complex network issues demanded extensive experience, often spanning decades, from network engineers."

With that said, recent advancements in network management tools, automation and AI are changing the game. These technologies are democratizing access to network troubleshooting capabilities. They can analyze vast amounts of data, identify patterns and suggest solutions.

Kentik, the network observability company, is taking it a step further with the launch of Kentik (News - Alert) AI, which gives any engineer, operator, architect or developer the ability to troubleshoot complex networks quickly and easily.

Kentik has integrated generative AI throughout its platform to make essential insights about intricate systems more accessible to all. With a user-friendly natural language interface and structured diagnostic processes, teams can identify the underlying reasons behind customer-related problems with greater speed.

Here are two generative AI capabilities offered by Kentik:

Kentik Query Assistant uses a LLM infused with network context that enables users to ask questions about their network in natural language. Kentik will then use its full breadth of data to deliver an answer. This broadens access to crucial network insights that were previously accessible only to teams possessing extensive network expertise.

Kentik Journeys provides users with an AI-assisted troubleshooting workflow to solve complex network problems. When troubleshooting, engineers ask a question, analyze the answer, then ask a new, better-informed question, drilling deeper into the issue. Kentik Journeys accelerates this process and expedites investigations with deep understanding of the user’s network.

The company is also simultaneously launching a modern and AI-assisted network monitoring system – Kentik NMS. With this system, teams can observe, manage and optimize network health and performance via real-time monitoring and alerting. It modernizes network monitoring technology by unifying traffic flow data with real-time, custom and streaming device metrics in one extensible SaaS (News - Alert) platform.

So, what are the business impacts of Kentik AI and Kentik NMS? Kentik's latest offerings deliver reduced mean time to resolution, improved network performance, enhanced security, increased efficiency and cost optimization.

“We’re imagining a world where everybody can be a superstar network engineer. Where network insights are no longer limited to network experts. Where AI augments the engineer, dramatically increasing their productivity, speed of troubleshooting and remediation of issues, and as a result driving efficiencies that can’t reasonably be achieved by scaling manual resources,” said Christoph Pfister, Chief Product Officer at Kentik.

Be part of the discussion about the latest trends and developments in the Generative AI space at Generative AI Expo, taking place February 13-15 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Generative AI Expo discusses the evolution of GenAI and feature conversations focused on the potential for GenAI across industries and how the technology is already being used to create new opportunities for businesses to improve operations, enhance customer experiences, and create new growth opportunities.
