NetBrain Changes Network Operations with Continuous Network Assessment Technology

Traditional network assessments often left blind spots between checks. Automating continuous assessment is like having headlights on to reveal issues before they become troublesome. Add in real-time insights (as the GPS, in this metaphor), and there is a guide to fix problems instantly. This proactive approach saves time, prevents downtime and keeps networks secure to perform optimally.

NetBrain Technologies, a provider of no-code network automation and dynamic mapping solutions, recently released Next-Gen 3, its flagship no-code network automation platform. This release introduces a new technology called Continuous Network Assessment, or CNA, which is expected to fundamentally change how organizations approach network operations.

CNA lets network teams transform their operational approaches into executable automation in minutes. By continuously assessing the network across various aspects, including operational status, security posture, configuration drift and bandwidth capacity, CNA provides real-time insights into network health and potential issues. This continuous monitoring eliminates the need for manual, time-consuming assessments, which frees up valuable resources and ensuring proactive problem identification.

Let’s look at some of the key benefits of NetBrain's CNA technology:

CNA proactively identifies potential issues to allow teams to address them before they impact users or applications. This reduces troubleshooting time and average time to resolution. CNA also continuously monitors for security vulnerabilities and configuration drifts, and teams can address them promptly and minimize the risk of cyberattacks.

CNA helps identify potential bottlenecks and capacity issues to allow teams to optimize network performance and ensure smooth application delivery, and CNA's collaborative drill-down summary dashboards provide a shared view of network health to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams.

“By leveraging our new CNA technology and our advanced summary dashboards, troubleshooting becomes collaborative and streamlined, outage prevention becomes a regular part of the standard operating procedures, and changes are made in a protected fashion,” said Song Pang, Senior Vice President of Engineering at NetBrain. “CNA changes the very fundamentals of how networks are operated, becoming machine-centric rather than continuing to be labor-intensive.”

Release 3 also introduces several notable enhancements. Virtual assessments now integrate sensitive and offline infrastructure into the network assessment process using extracted configuration data. The Intent Scheduler was upgraded for more efficient network assessment. Additionally, improvements in Intent Creation involve enhancing NetBrain's UI and introducing a Quick Parser to better streamline automation intent creation for end users and lowering learning barriers.

Continuous Next-Gen Release 3 is available to all customers with active subscriptions or maintenance contracts at no additional charge.
