LTIMindtree, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, announced it joined the IBM Quantum (News - Alert) Network - making it one of the first Indian Global System Integrators (GSI) to become part of the IBM Quantum Network.

The collaboration extends beyond the quantum realm, as LTIMindtree is set to work closely with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, an IBM (News - Alert) Quantum Innovation Center to foster joint quantum research and contribute to workforce development in this field.

By joining the IBM Quantum Network, LTIMindtree elevates its existing platinum partner status with IBM, gaining access to an extensive global community that includes Fortune 500 companies, top universities, research labs, and startups. The collaboration also opens doors for LTIMindtree to leverage IBM's quantum computing systems through the cloud, tapping into a wealth of resources, software, and expertise.

“We are thrilled to embark on this journey with IBM and IIT Madras, India. These collaborations are more than an innovation milestone; they're an important step towards a future where quantum computing could help solve more complex problems faster and more efficiently.

Importantly, it positions us to expedite our customers’ journey towards realizing the immense value of quantum computing, readying them to leverage these advanced technologies for transformative solutions,” said Aan Chauhan, Chief Technology Officer, LTIMindtree.

LTIMindtree can now also help its customers harness the transformative power of quantum computing technologies, and company officials said they envision a series of long-term projects stemming from these collaborations. These include applied research efforts aimed at solving business and societal problems, quantum computing workshops, and research grants.

“We are excited to welcome LTIMindtree into the IBM Quantum Network and to help them explore the benefits of quantum computing, both for their internal teams and in solutions for their clients. We are also looking forward to providing technology support for LTIMindtree’s joint research and educational engagements with IIT-Madras, our first IBM Quantum Innovation Center in India,” said Scott Crowder, Vice President of IBM Quantum Adoption and Business Development.
