Emruz Founder Helps Organizations Tackle the Cloud & DevOps

There’s a lot of confusion in the marketplace about cloud technology and how to consume it. But there is help available for those companies that need assistance in migrating to the cloud and adapting to and adopting other trends, such as DevOps. So says Shahin Pirooz, managing partner and founder at Emruz.com, who spoke with me last week at TMC (News - Alert) Editor’s Day Silicon Valley.

Pirooz explained that Emruz means today, and that the company aims to take today’s technology and make it more accessible for people and their companies. Emruz.com, he added, began life as a web consulting company, but has since shifted its focus to infrastructure and is particularly involved in business optimization and cloud consulting. More specifically, Emruz offers management consulting services to help assess, optimize and build efficiencies in infrastructure, software development, DevOps, IT, enterprise, and cloud architecture.

Pirooz in the last 15 years has served in C-level technical positions at various cloud companies, including CenterBeam and RiverMeadow Software. He was named No. 12 on CRN’s Top 25 Disrupters List of Executives for 2015.

When asked what it takes to have a successful cloud implementation, Pirooz answered automation, and said that Emruz.com helps businesses with operational process. Emruz.com engagements include work with a 150,000-employee company for which Pirooz assessed the company’s IT infrastructure, team, and strategy. Another of his clients is a well-positioned cloud service provider with $100 million in revenue that has been getting lots of requests for managed service on premises, so it needed help figuring out what tools and people it needs to do that. Pirooz added that his most recent client is in the process of figuring out how to bridge the hybrid cloud world. So Emruz.com is helping the client with that.
