Netskope's Proactive DEM for SASE: The Future of Digital Experience Management

Digital Experience Management (DEM) technology, with a primary focus that lies in the enhancement of customer experiences and the elevation of employee engagement, has emerged as an indispensable tool for modern businesses, especially in the context of digital transformation initiatives.

In fact, the digital experience monitoring market size is projected to reach $6.53 billion by 2031, according to research by Transparency Market Research. This projection underscores how DEM ensures business resilience and competitiveness in the digital age.

However, monitoring applications, services and networks is only part of a modern DEM experience. Netskope, which helps organizations apply zero trust principles and AI/machine learning innovations to protect data and defend against cyber threats, is taking it further with the launch of Proactive DEM for SASE. Proactive DEM provides experience management capabilities across the SASE architecture, including Netskope Intelligent SSE, Netskope Borderless SD-WAN and Netskope NewEdge global infrastructure.

Proactive DEM provides predictive insights with high-definition visibility. It accomplishes this with SMART monitoring and anomaly identification.

SMART monitoring provides insights into endpoint health and performance, offers a hop-by-hop view of user connectivity to Netskope, and offers visibility into the performance of all features of the SASE platform, including client performance and application responses. The result is a reduction in both MTTD and MTTR.

Anomaly identification leverages machine learning modeling and identifies anomalies in normal usage patterns. This capability comes with tailored alerts that help minimize false positives in alerts, leading to more efficient network operations processes and quicker response times.

Proactive DEM also provides 360-degree control. Netskope offers control through a combination of proactive measures and customer-triggered remediation to eliminate or significantly reduce the impact time of incidents. Lightweight Real User Monitoring capabilities empower networking teams by providing visibility without creating friction with endpoint teams. Proactive monitoring of critical business applications ensures that the focus remains on what matters most to organizations.

Additionally, the solution offers proactive remediation, which is initiated before users even report issues, lightening the burden on help desks and network operations teams. Multi-level routing controls optimize the user experience by identifying the best route for critical applications. Netskope's NewEdge infrastructure routing decisions are proactively adjusted, reducing latency and enhancing application performance. The platform also selects the optimal onward path from the Netskope SASE Platform to the application or public cloud provider, effectively routing around external network issues.

The integration with Netskope Endpoint SD-WAN's client capability further optimizes performance, particularly for applications sensitive to network degradation, such as Zoom and Microsoft (News - Alert) Teams. This frictionless integration ensures a seamless user experience in these critical scenarios.

"Ensuring a constantly optimized experience is essential for organizations looking to support the best productivity returns for hybrid workers and modern cloud infrastructure, but monitoring alone is not enough,” Sanjay Beri, CEO and co-founder of Netskope. “Customers have told us of the challenges they face managing a multi-vendor cloud ecosystem and so we are providing experience management that can both monitor and proactively remediate."
