We need to remember something - as AI capabilities continue to expand, so too do the needs to secure the vast amount of data and complex algorithms that power these very systems. Cybersecurity solutions of old often struggle to keep pace with the unique challenges posed by AI, and these systems may then left vulnerable to cyberattacks.

And these attacks can unfortunately have devastating consequences, compromising sensitive data, disrupting critical operations and even manipulating AI models to produce biased or harmful outputs.

Recognizing this growing threat, tech companies are increasingly focusing on developing robust security solutions specifically designed for AI environments. A recent example? Cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to enhance security for AI cloud infrastructure.

NVIDIA (News - Alert) likely doesn’t need an introduction. As for Check Point, the platform leverages the power of AI everywhere to enhance cybersecurity efficiency and accuracy through its Infinity Platform, with catch rates that enable proactive threat anticipation and smarter, faster response times. The platform includes cloud-delivered technologies consisting of Check Point Harmony to secure the workspace, Check Point CloudGuard to secure the cloud and Check Point Quantum (News - Alert) to secure the network.

The new Check Point AI Cloud Protect solution integrates with NVIDIA's data processing units, or DPUs, to defend against threats at the network and individual device levels.

AI Cloud Protect emerges as a strategic solution to address the dynamic security needs of the AI-everything era. Designed for ease of deployment and adaptability, it offers out-of-the-box security without compromising AI performance. The solution integrates and scales to provide a robust shield against sophisticated cyber threats.

“As AI becomes more pervasive, securing AI clouds becomes paramount,” said Yael Shenhav, Vice President of Networking Products at NVIDIA. “NVIDIA BlueField 3 enables innovators such as Check Point to offer robust cyber defense measures to secure AI cloud data centers, while also ensuring peak AI performance.”

Built on NVIDIA BlueField 3 DPUs (which power a new generation of AI cloud data centers) and the NVIDIA DOCA software framework, AI Cloud Protect offers several key features. Organizations can efficiently shield themselves from model inversion, model theft and other attack vectors.

The solution facilitates easy deployment across diverse AI environments to ensure that security measures keep pace with organizational needs. And AI operations continue unhindered, with security processes running discreetly in the background by leveraging NVIDIA's technology without impacting AI performance.

"AI provides great benefits across healthcare, education, finance and more. At the same time, the rate and sophistication of cyberattacks is increasing, with threat actors increasingly looking at ways to disrupt AI workloads in the cloud," said Gera Dorfman, Vice President of Network Security at Check Point. “We are working with NVIDIA to deliver a new secure AI cloud solution with Check Point AI Cloud Protect that guards even the most sensitive and private AI workloads against cyber threats.”

Check Point and NVIDIA represent a step forward in securing the future of AI. With AI security prioritized, we can foster a future where AI benefits all of us, without fear of malicious manipulation or disruption.
