Industry Leaders Unite: Sevco Security Launches Customer Advisory Board

Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all connected devices is a critical, but often elusive, goal for security teams. Traditional methods struggle to keep pace with the attack surface today. This is a big issue because it leaves organizations vulnerable to unseen threats.

Sevco Security aims to bridge this gap with its cloud-native Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management, or CAASM, platform, an accurate, real-time security asset inventory.

Sevco's core technology lies in its proprietary 4D Asset Intelligence engine. This engine continuously collects data from a wide range of sources, including IT infrastructure, public and private cloud environments, IoT devices, operational technology, supply chains, contractors and even remote users. This comprehensive approach provides a holistic view of an organization's entire attack surface.

The platform then leverages this data to automatically identify and prioritize potential security risks. By correlating asset information with vulnerability databases and security control configurations, Sevco helps security teams pinpoint devices that are unpatched, unprotected, or simply unknown. This actionable intelligence allows for faster, data-driven decision-making.

Sevco's commitment to seamless integration further enhances its value proposition. The platform integrates with existing security tools and eliminates the need for complex data migration or siloed operations. This approach allows security teams to leverage their existing investments while gaining a more comprehensive view of their security posture.

Staying on track with its commitment to enable enterprises to gain a complete and accurate view of all the assets in an enterprise IT environment and the state of the security controls protecting them, Sevco launched its Customer Advisory Board.

Members of the board include Tammy Hawkins, cybersecurity executive, Intuit; Ryan Plume, senior security engineer, World Wide Technology (News - Alert); Dr. Ulf Lindqvist, senior technical director, SRI International; Dr. Chase Cunningham, security visionary and podcaster, DrZeroTrust; and Albert Attias, senior director of enterprise security, Workday.

Other members include Phil Graves, VP of MIS, Quality Carriers; Cliff Dixon, former SVP and CISO, Global Logistics Carrier; Kathleen Moriarty, former CTO, Center for Internet Security; Brandon Pinzon, SVP and chief security officer, Argo Group; Brian Brown, CISO, Solis; Bill Crowell, former deputy director, NSA; Jason Norred, CISO, Solutions II; Kevin Morrison, CISO, Driven Brands; Scott Goad, senior security engineer, Red Wing Shoes; and John Shaffer, managing director and CIO, Greenhill.

The group was created to help inform the development of new asset intelligence integrations and Sevco’s product roadmap. This collaborative approach has resulted in the addition of over 50 new integrations, including connections with prominent solutions like Apple (News - Alert) Business Users, Jamf, Rapid7, Tenable, Duo Security and AWS user management services.

By expanding its data collection capabilities, Sevco empowers security teams with deeper context of the risks and business impacts associated with the assets they are entrusted to protect.

“We have seen a tremendous benefit in bringing these industry experts together and learning from them each day,” said Brian Contos (News - Alert), chief strategy officer at Sevco. “Together, we’ve identified and discussed the blind spots and areas of enterprise asset management that still need to be improved within almost every organization. Our work on this board has resulted in key innovations within Sevco’s Asset Intelligence Platform and has provided direction and feedback on new products and features that have benefitted all our customers.”
