Cloud computing offers various benefits for businesses. For instance, businesses can ditch expensive hardware and software upfront costs (instead opting for a pay-as-you-go model).
With cloud computing, everything is online and on-demand. Servers, storage, even software are just a click away, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. This is a game-changer for businesses.
With that said, cloud computing is constantly evolving (just look at our Cloud Computing Magazine updates) with various new services and applications emerging all the time.
So, let’s take a look at new developments:
Opsera Patents Enhance Developer Experience
Opsera announced two new patents for its Unified DevOps Platform, bringing the total to nine. These patents focus on providing businesses with powerful insights and developer flexibility to improve software delivery.
Unified Insights helps businesses make data-driven decisions faster and meet compliance requirements. It analyzes data from DevOps tools to provide historical data, root cause analysis and dashboards with key performance indicators, or KPIs.
Toolchain Automation allows developers to choose and integrate any tool into their DevOps toolchain. Opsera automatically configures and deploys the chosen tool.
New AI-powered Tools from Cisco (News - Alert) and Splunk
Cisco and Splunk announced new integrations and innovations to improve observability for businesses. This means businesses can see their entire digital systems better, including traditional applications, cloud-based applications and their networks. This will allow them to identify and fix problems faster, which will lead to a better experience for their customers.
A unified observability experience will make it easier for businesses to use Cisco and Splunk (News - Alert) products together. Cisco and Splunk will work together no matter what kind of digital systems a business has. New AI features will help businesses make better decisions about their digital systems.
Corero Network Security Renews Contract
Corero Network Security renewed a multi-million dollar contract with DigitalOcean for three years. Corero will provide DigitalOcean with DDoS protection services that include configuration optimization, proactive monitoring and mitigation response. This will allow DigitalOcean to focus on their core business and ensure their network is secure. Corero replaces a competitor's solution and will provide DigitalOcean with a dedicated technical account manager.
Zoho’s (News - Alert) New Security Features
Zoho Corporation, a global tech company, announced new security features for its existing security products. These include Ulaa, privacy-focused browser; Zoho Directory, workforce identity management; Zoho OneAuth, multi-factor authentication; and Zoho Vault, password manager. Juniper Networks (News - Alert) Expands AI-Powered Network Management
Juniper Networks announced an upgrade to its networking platform, focusing on improving user experience and operational efficiency through AI-powered insights and automation.
A key feature is the expansion of Marvis Minis, their digital experience twin solution, to now cover SD-WAN. This allows for proactive monitoring of network performance, including WAN congestion and application bandwidth usage. Additionally, Juniper has introduced new tools for capturing network data and visualizing application traffic.
Another major announcement is the introduction of Routing Assurance, which brings AI and cloud management to Juniper's WAN edge routing products. This allows for real-time monitoring, analysis and resolution of routing issues, along with the conversational interface of Marvis for troubleshooting through simple language queries.
Once again, this news string shows what cloud computing can clearly yield for businesses. Cloud adoption is here to stay and will only grow. We shall see how it keeps playing out.
