Cloudflare Offers Free Zero Trust Tools to Bolster Security for All Organizations

Cloudflare, a provider of cloud-based connectivity solutions, announced an initiative to make its powerful security tools free to organizations of all sizes. The move aims to address the rising cost of security solutions, which has traditionally been a barrier for smaller businesses.

By offering critical tools such as its Zero Trust platform, Cloudflare One, at no cost, Cloudflare is empowering companies to better protect themselves against today’s advanced cyber threats without the financial burden of expensive vendor renewals.

With software inflation expected to hit 12.3% in 2024, renewing security contracts is becoming increasingly challenging for organizations. Cloudflare's free offerings will provide much-needed relief by ensuring that security teams can protect their environments without stretching budgets.

Among the critical tools offered are protections against credential leaks, supply chain attacks, and vulnerabilities in APIs — essential components in the modern digital landscape.

With Cloudflare’s global network-backed security solutions and using HTTP, Security, and DNS Analytics, companies will have centralized views of traffic trends, potential risks, and patterns, enabling better threat detection and troubleshooting.

Cloudflare’s offering also provides the ability to detect suspicious login attempts, an essential defense against credential-based breaches, which account for nearly half of all data breaches.

With over 15 billion compromised credentials in its database, Cloudflare Leaked Credentials Checks can automatically identify and block malicious login attempts.

APIs, the backbone of modern applications, can also pose security risks if mishandled. Cloudflare’s Schema (News - Alert) Validation ensures that sensitive information is protected by monitoring API usage and preventing unauthorized data exposure.

Also, its Page Shield Script Monitor secures third-party scripts from being exploited by threat actors.

“For every dollar a customer spends, we should be giving them 10x the value in return. But most security vendors increase their pricing every year without adding any value,” said Matthew Prince, co-founder and CEO of Cloudflare. “By releasing these features for free, organizations won’t be forced to decide between saving money or safeguarding their most sensitive data and services. And with greater adoption of these features through our free plan, Cloudflare can make them more effective, ultimately making the Internet a safer place for everyone.”
