As organizations today face advancing cyber threats and traditional security solutions fail to keep pace due to their complexity and cost, Juniper Networks (News - Alert) introduced Juniper Secure AI-Native Edge, aimed at unifying network and security operations.
The offering merges SD-WAN, network access control (NAC), and security into a single platform powered by Mist AI, so customers can streamline and secure their networks effectively.
This not only helps reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by simplifying network management and providing secure, reliable access to resources and applications, but the platform also prepares businesses for future Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) deployments, supporting enhanced cybersecurity for both enterprise and cloud environments.
A key feature of the Secure AI-Native Edge solution is the new Mist Security Assurance subscription. This cloud-based service integrates network and security operations, offering a unified dashboard for managing authentication, application access, and traffic policies.
By consolidating these functions, administrators gain full visibility into both user experience and security insights, making it easier to enforce security policies consistently across the network.
Additionally, the solution leverages Juniper SRX security — which has achieved top scores in independent Cyber Ratings tests — ensuring highly effective threat detection and response. Juniper’s AI-based behavior detection capabilities can identify and prevent known and unknown threats in real-time without impacting network performance.
The Secure AI-Native Edge solution also applies the same AI-driven microservices cloud architecture across wired, wireless, NAC, and SD-WAN. This ensures a seamless, unified experience for managing both network performance and security. As a result, businesses and service providers can achieve better client-to-cloud performance, greater protection from advanced threats, and simplified operations, all from a single, integrated platform.
“The right data, the right real-time responses and the right infrastructure have been the foundational principles of Juniper’s AI-Native Networking Platform. Integrating cloud-based, intelligent and automated security management into the platform is a logical progression, enabling IT and security teams to make faster, data-driven security decisions and responses in lockstep with the network, devices, users and applications being protected. Time is the most precious currency in cybersecurity: faster time to detect, mitigate and time to resolve,” said Sujai Hajela, EVP and GM, AI-Driven Enterprise, Juniper Networks.
