NaviSite Doubles Down on VMware Offerings

NaviSite is already well known for its cloud operations, but the firm announced earlier this week that it is specifically expanding its VMware in order to offer an even wider portfolio of cloud, self-service and managed technologies. All of the offerings are geared toward making sure businesses that want to deal in the cloud are well represented and have the tools they need at their hands.

“NaviSite (News - Alert) has been providing complex managed services on VMware’s hypervisor technology for more than a decade now, and has worked with VMware to translate the software-defined data center vision into a reality with our NaviCloud Compute Infrastructure as a Service offering,” said Sumeet Sabharwal, General Manager of NaviSite according to Multichannel News.

The expanded relationship means that VMware allows for NaviSite to include a broader portfolio of totally integrated solutions that are aimed toward getting deployment that much faster. The solutions that will be offered by NaviSite thanks to  this new agreement will be quite a bit more scalable. That means enterprise level companies will be able to better get what they need no matter what the size.

One of the other big benefits of this particular team up is that users can now do a kind of “test drive” of the NaviSite Cloud for as many as 30 days. The trial option basically allows companies to see what a longer exposure would bring, should they decide to sign up. It will also allow other companies to see if they need VMware at all and get a good idea how and why the solutions should be used. Once the trial has run its course, the applications that are being used free of charge for those 30 days will be able to be converted to a full account in just a few simple clicks. That further underscores just how easy it is for a business to operate when it is using the cloud and VMware in particular.
