Exposing the Dark Realities of Cybercrime: Join the Conversation at Enterprise Cybersecurity Expo 2025

By Alex Passett, Editor  |  February 10, 2025

Readers, we’re nearly there — the precipice of Enterprise Cybersecurity Expo 2025! Our team is already in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida, readying ourselves for the electrifying hustle and bustle of the expo (and the overall #TECHSUPERSHOW experience). From Tuesday, February 11 through Thursday, February 13 at the Broward County Convention Center, attendees will have opportunities aplenty to engage in networking activities, walk laps through the jam-packed (and recently expanded) exhibit hall, and join us for a whole cornucopia of interesting conference sessions led by top business executives, industry-specific professionals, and other expert panelists.

Speaking of, there’s a specific session I’d like to highlight for y'all.

Its title?

WARNING: This Talk Exposes the Darkest Realities of Cybercrime, Audience (News - Alert) Discretion Advised.”

Sounds serious, right?

Well, that’s because it is.

Last year, Jesse and Reesë Tuttle — a genius-level father-daughter combo, if you ask us — graced the convention center’s Floridian Ballroom to discuss their company, Compliology. (Of which they’re Chief Hacking Officer/President and Chief Technology Officer, respectively.) Compliology, as we now know, is an organization that helps clients navigate the complexities of modern compliance while providing tools for top-of-mind safety awareness training, simulated phishing attacks and safety audits. (I definitely recommend checking out my full coverage of their presentation here.)

Very candidly, Jesse “Hackah Jak” Tuttle took us through his history as a professional hacker.

“For 30 years,” Jesse had stated, “I’ve kept secrets and hoarded alter egos like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve hacked over 100,000 systems, from the Girl Scouts of America, Jose Cuervo and Goodwill to the U.S. Army and Navy. However, this is the first time I’m speaking openly about these experiences. There’s a lot to unpack.”

Indeed, there was. (Again, click here for that whole rundown. It’s worth your time.)

Jesse’s life story is what led him and Reesë to the creation of Compliology; incredibly catalytic. (Reesë herself started university computer science classes at the age of 13 and had completed her degree by the age of 17. She’s also earned Presidential Recognition for community service by building web apps for nonprofits.)

This altogether brings us to present day.

Jesse and Reesë’s upcoming session is happening tomorrow (Tuesday, February 11 from 2:00-2:45 PM), and I think it’s pretty clear at this point that it’ll be a must-attend presentation. The two will describe how cyber threats are evolving into stealthy, sophisticated (and ever-exploitative) multi-stage attacks. They’ll shed light on such threats with highly relevant real-world stories, and they’ll expose the devastating toll; the damages to individuals’ (and businesses’) finances and reputations, as well as the jeopardizations wrought by those involved in social manipulation, human trafficking and more.

By transparently dissecting these matters (and why traditional defenses against them aren’t enough in the modern age), Jesse and Reesë aim to raise awareness, challenge assumptions, and empower folks to better protect themselves in an already-harrowing (and increasingly hostile) digital landscape.

The long-story-short of this, readers?

Consider joining us for the conversation. It’s important.

Those interested can register now for Enterprise Cybersecurity Expo 2025.
